Still Life
In her biography of Roger Fry, Virginia Woolf described the still
life objects in Fry's studio as "...tokens of spiritual reality immune
from destruction, the immortal apples, the eternal eggs."
My still life subjects are not the expected household objects, fruit,
or even eggs. Yet, like Fry's apples and eggs, I want my still ife
objects to have a self-reliant reality, of their time and yet outside of
time.
Unless otherwise noted, my still life paintings are oil on canvas,
and are for sale.
